Tips on selecting the correct pair of shoes
I believe the biggest complaint that we ladies face is developing blisters in a new pair of shoes. Frankly speaking, it doesn’t make much difference if we were to buy a pair of shoes that cost us $40 or $100. The fact is, blisters will develop in most new shoes especially covered shoes if we don’t do any prevention.
Here are some ways where you can do to prevent blisters :
Tip 1
Get the correct size and shape of shoes. The toe box of your shoes should have the space for you to easily wiggle your toes in it. Avoid wearing narrow and sleek heels if you have very broad and wide feet. But if you really can’t resist the design, then opt for a bigger size, this will give your feet more breathing space then being cramp up in the heels.
Tip 2
Taking new shoes for a short walk for a start. Any pair of shoes may give you blisters in its first few wearing, before your feet and shoes have grown accustomed to each other. So take it slow and short with a new pair of shoes. Try not to wear and continuously walk for more than 2 hrs for the first time. Slowly build up the mileage and speed.
Tip 3
Upon wearing new shoes for at least the first 3 to 5 times, it is better to apply some lotion (Vaseline proves to be good) or roll on ‘foot glide anti-blister foot formula’ around your feet. This will add as some lubricant and will prevent your skin from rubbing against the shoes.
